Ship the nonconforming reel in a disposable container, prepaid and insured, along with a completed copy of our Repair Request Form (Below)
A sturdy cardboard box with packing material is recommended. Mat's Reel Repair is not responsible for lost or damaged items
We will inspect the reel to determine cause of nonconformance
For nonconformance determined to have occurred due to manufacture defect, Shimano will, at the company's discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge
Damages determined to have occurred due to neglect, accident, or normal wear and tear will, at the company's discretion, be repaired for a specific fee.
Shimano warrants to the original purchaser that this product will be free from non-conformities in material or workmanship for the period of one year from the date of purchase.
To request repairs (or non-warranty service) send your reel, postage pre-paid, to us. Retailers and wholesale outlets are not required or authorized to perform warranty repairs or exchanges on behalf of Shimano. When sending your reel, please call for verification on due date as some seasons experience high volume.
All warranty requests must be accompanied by a dated sales receipt, your name, address, telephone number (daytime), email address (optional), and a brief description of the issues related to your warranty request.
Non- ARB Ball Bearings, Roller Bearings, Handles, and Spools.
If your reel is covered under the Shimano Warranty your return shipping will be covered. All other reels will fall under our normal return shipping rates.
